Sugar Plum Fairy Baking Party

Oh how sweet it is to have a Sugar Plum Fairy themed baking party!

I was in the mood to throw my daughter Lauren a festive holiday party and why not do it in The Sugar Plum Fairy theme and to make even sweeter I decided to add a twist to the party!  A baking party it would be and having visions of little sugar plums BAKING! I have always loved the Nutcracker but what I've always liked was the Sugar Plum Fairy herself, a sweet delight that makes you excited for the savory season to come! As the Sugar Plum Fairy celebrates with all kinds of sweets, I myself decided to do the same!

I had the pleasure of working with Jessica from Pen N’ Paper Flowers to create this sweet and whimsical invitation! She did an amazing job and captured exactly what I wanted the invitation to look like! She did a great job creating a "Clara" silhouette mimicking the Sugar Plum fairy dancing with a sweet little apron on and of course how could she not have her little nutcracker?! Thank you Jessica for designing and creating this beautiful invite!!

This is what inspired me for the party and the colors:

I decided to go with pinks, plums, silver, and white for the color scheme for this party! And, this is how it turned out!

I decorated the table in a pink winter wonderland of snowflakes, sparkly trees, nutcrackers and of course celebrating the land of sweet treats! I decided to have the "dessert" table in the kids size so it would be easy for the little girls to get to the yummy delights!

When the little girls arrived, not only were they given a gift of a chefs little hat and sweet little apron but they also found waiting for them on their table, tutus, fairy wands, and fairy dust of course! The tutus with their precious polka dot ribbon, came from Polka Dot Market, and Sally did a sweet job choosing the perfect ribbon to match the color scheme!   I also had a gingerbread house as the centerpiece and decided to have a sugar plum colored tutu around it to make it stand out!
I went and bought this adorable pink Christmas tree and decorated it in the Nutcracker theme! How cute did this tree look?! Sugar Plum and festive!
I was lucky to have found this silver nutcracker to go with our theme and loved that he had a lot of sparkle on him! Found him at Michael's!
How amazing do these cookies look?! I had the pleasure of working with Lisa and Ira from the cookie jar and they created these amazing Sugar Plum themed cookies and not only did they look adorable but they are simply delicious! They were a hit of the party! Many thanks to the cookie jar for making not only these beautiful cookies but for being so sweet and wonderful to work with!
I loved how these cupcakes turned out and with the our color scheme and with a little touch of sparkle with a snowflake topper! These cupcakes came from a local place called Cupcake Couture, here in San Antonio.

Aren't these sparkly swirled lollipop just adorable?! I worked with the wonderful Brittany from Edible Details to create these shimmering lollipops. They were a big hit with the little chefs or course! Brittany was so helpful and great to work with! If you ever need a sweet treat that sparkles then Edible Details is your place for that! Thank you so much Britanny!
I decided to add a little Whimsy to this table scape by adding the pink and purple branches, the smaller pink tree, and of course chef nutcracker!
This sweet cupcake stand I found and purchased from Shop Sweet Lulu, and it was just adorable and made the cupcakes stand out even more on our dessert table! Chocolate was abound where the Sugar Plum fairy lived!
Here is another set of beautiful cookies that the cookie jar made to decorate our dessert table! They did a beautiful job on those Snow Flakes!!
I used Sparkly candle holders and instead of placing candles I decided to fill it with sparkly pink ornaments to add that winter wonderland feel!
I found this sweet little Sugar Plum Fairy ornament and pink sparkly snowflakes and thought that they would add a great touch of whimsy and a little pizzaz to our theme!
Is this table linen not the cutest thing you ever saw?! Carolyn from Sweet Tea and Linen helped me create the sweetest and fabulous table runners for our Sugar Plum Fairy theme! Since this was a baking party, I decided that the table runner needed to look and mimic an apron with a little pocket to the little chef's would feel right at home eating at their table! Carolyn did an outstanding job and is always a pleasure to work with!! I just loved how this table runner turned out!! It is so precious! If you ever need a one of a kind table linens or table runners, Carolyn will help you create whatever you need and will do a beautiful job! She is just amazing and a true joy!
Here is another view of the table runner so you can see how cute it really was!
Not only did the sugar plum chef's have tutus, wands, aprons but they also had to had decorative bottles with fairy dust with a magical wand to wish them well and to create magical goodies as they baked throughout the afternoon!

When I mentioned earlier that each guest as they arrived received a gift bag and inside they found a Chef hat with their name on it and s pink little apron to get ready to bake! The chefs hats and aprons came from Growing Cooks and the sparkly letters and flowers came from Michael's.

The Sugar Plum Chefs were happy and busy baking and decorating their tasty treats!

Each chef and guest were provided with these sweet favor bags from Polka Dot Market to fill with lots of goodies and treats to take home with them! Sally also made these labels to tie onto the bags!

The baking party was a big hit and will be a yearly holiday tradition for us now! We loved doing it in the Sugar Plum Fairy theme that we will change it up every year to create something new and memorable! Thank you again for everyone who helped me with this sweet baking party! It was  so much fun to do and what made it so sweet was seeing how happy and how much fun the little chefs enjoyed themselves! It was a party to remember that's for sure! Happy holidays everyone!

Until then,
