Fanciful Events { 2011} A year in Review

I can't get over how fast 2011 went by!! WOW!!! I feel like we just started this year and we are 5 days away from 2012! This was a good year and it brought along so many wonderful surprises and I was able  to work with some amazing people and vendors! So, here are the parties I did for 2011! :)

I decided to do a fun little Sweet Valentine's day party for my daughter and her little friends. It was a fun little theme to do and so tweet!

My next event was my daughter's Christening at the end of February! I wanted to do something that was sweet and had a touch of vintage and of course use a sweet little bunny throughout the theme. So it turned out to be a Sweet Vintage Pink Bunny Christening! It turned out just perfect and was exactly how I had envisioned my daughter's Christening!

I didn't do anything for awhile until August believe or not! We had a very busy summer and it just didn't allow the time or dedication to plan something fun until I decided to do a Back to School Party in August! It was simple and just a fun party to do for my daughter and her little friends!

My next event was my daughter's 1st birthday party that I had started planning and getting things since the summer! I really wanted to make her party be unique and just so sweet and special! I had so much fun planning and doing this Ribbons and Bows 1st Birthday Party! I think it turned out better than I had thought and one of my favorite parties I have done!

My daughter wanted a fun little halloween party so we did just that! A small and fun Little Bewitching Halloween party! It turned out really cute and the best part is that all the girls had a great time!

The following week, I had my daughter's Royal Princess Party to do! I had 3 major parties in the month of October! I was going crazy as you can imagine! This turned out beautiful and my daughter loved being a princess on her special day and it really was a royal affair to remember!

Our next Party was in December and it was a Sugar Plum themed party! We decided that we would do a Nutcracker themed party every year and change it up and this is the color scheme and direction we went with, a Wintry Sugar Plum/ Nutcracker Party! This is really one of my favorite parties that I have done and I am so happy with the way it turned out and the color scheme we choose! It looked like a wintry wonderland that was purely magical and just stunning!

Finally, I will end this year with a fun design I got to do for a local Tv show here in San Antonio. I got invited to go on San Antonio Living to do a holiday dessert table. You can imagine my excitement and I decided to do a Candy Cane holiday themed table and this is how it turned out! It was such a fun experience and for creating a dessert table in 30 minutes , it didn't turn out that bad!

We also started a project that is dear and important to me and we will make it even bigger and better for next year. We started Project Jolly,

which is a Non-Profit Organization that will give kids gifts that are sick with cancer and are unable to be home or spend the holidays with their loved ones. As a event planner sometimes, we don't realize the things that go one and this a way to give back to those poor kids and the parents who have to go through that, and this is our way of telling them that we are thinking of them and want to try to spread some Holiday Cheer even for a little while! We will be working with some amazing vendors and people who will make Project Jolly, a project that will spread holiday cheer! :)

So, this is what kept me busy for the last part of 2011! It was a great year and I already have lots of projects in the works for 2012 and I am really excited about those already! So, here is to a New Year filled with wonderful blessings and may it be the best year yet!
Thank you to all the amazing vendors and friends who made this year a memorable year and may next year be a year to start, create, and design new things and ideas!

Cheers and Happy New Year and thank you for being a fan of Fanciful Events and for giving us your support! We greatly appreciate it!
Thank you also for those who featured our parties on their blogs, it was not only an honor but a thrill and pure joy! Thanks again to all of you!

Wintry Sugar Plum/ Nutcracker Wonderland Party!

We decided to start a tradition that every year we would do a Sugar Plum/ Nutcracker party and last year we did a baking party so this year I chose to do a Wintry Nutcracker/Sugar Plum themed party! This has been one of my favorite parties I have done yet! This turned out as magical, sweet, and sparkly as I had hoped! :)

I decided to base the theme around Clara's love for the Nutcracker and her dream of traveling in the beautiful wintry wonderland and seeing the Sugar Plum fairy and her candy kingdom of sweets. I decided to go with a winter white theme and make it all sparkly and magical! I tried capturing Clara's love and wonderment for her Nutcracker and the enchantment she felt and experienced in her dream.

Here are the pictures from the party and below I will give all the details that went into making this a true winter wonderland Nutcracker party! Enjoy! :)

Here are the details to this amazing Nutcracker party we had!

Wendy from Green Beansie Cards, did all the party printables and she did an amazing job designing them! They were sweet and just perfect! Wendy is so sweet and just great to work with! We have worked now on a few projects and she always amazes me with her talent and creativity! Definitely one of the sweetest people I know! :)

We had so many wintry sweets that included cupcakes, marshmallow pops,
cake pops, chocolate covered oreos, sugar cookies, wintry scones, peppermint bark candy bites and a sweet little ballerina cake that featured Clara and her love for ballet around it. All the amazing fondant toppers were made by Brittany from Editable Details of course and were just beautiful and stunning! They shimmered and sparkled like a winter wonderland! Brittany always creates the most amazing designs! Every time I get a box from her, it feels like Christmas because you never know what you're going to get!

For the dessert table I use the Pastry Pedestal and made wintry looking marshmallow pops and thought they looked pretty cute! We had an array of winter treats and got some amazing cookies from The Cookie Jar and wintry cake Pops from Bee's knees Creative! Both desserts were just amazing and so yummy!

We had a little table for the girls that was whimsical and showcased the love for all things sweet! They found on their table a gingerbread man cookie that they could decorate and also had little bracelets awaiting them with their name on them and they also got to take home a beautifully wrapped gift that had a sweet pajama set with a ballerina tutu of course! They loved the wintry room with all the sparkly sweets and ballerina and Nutcracker touches.

It was truly a sweet wintry wonderland filled with visions of sugar plums dreams and certainly sweet things! We had the ballerina dress especially made for this party so my daughter could feel like a true ballerina, didn't Fairytale Jubilee do an amazing job on this dress? We had gone back and forth on doing a Clara inspired dress or doing a Sugar Plum fairy dress and we decided in the end to make the a ballerina dress but make it more like a little dress more so than a ballerina/tutu dress! I think Alisha did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to work with her again designing little dresses for some upcoming projects!

The headband was designed especially to match our ballerina dress by Perfect Petal Boutique, and Angie did such a beautiful job with this headband! It was the perfect hair accessory! She really makes beautiful hand-crafted headbands! :)

Pom Flair was kind enough to send us their sweet and very cute pom cupcake toppers and they worked perfectly with our theme! We also had white poms in varying sizes hanging from the ceiling as well as sparkly snow flakes to give it the winter wonderland feel. :)

We had Amy from Amy Craft Photography come and take some beautiful shots of this party and she really does an amazing job with the pictures! She captures such great memories and keepsakes for us!

It was a fun and sweet party and seeing the look on my daughter's and all our guest was priceless! This turned out to be a wintry ballerina party that any little girl would dream of!

Thank you to all the wonderful and amazing vendors that helped me make this party possible and for adding your special magic to make it turn out as well as it did! I always enjoy working with each and every one of you! :)
